We look forward to welcoming you to The Drift. Our policies are designed to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable lodging experience for all guests while helping us maintain the personalized service and peaceful atmosphere of our five-room boutique inn.
Reservations & Payment
A 100% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
We accept all major credit cards.
A valid credit card is required at check-in for any incidental charges or damages that may occur during your stay.
Cancellation Policy
Because of our intimate size, cancellations have a significant impact on our ability to rebook guest rooms.
- Reservations canceled more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of the amount paid, less a $50 cancellation fee per reservation.
- Reservations canceled within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.
- No refunds will be issued for late arrivals, early departures, shortened stays, or no-shows.
We strongly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including illness, weather events, transportation disruptions, or other situations that may affect travel plans.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Prior to your arrival, you'll receive detailed self-check-in instructions, including your access code and arrival information, allowing you to arrive at your convenience.
For the safety and security of our guests, the primary guest will be asked to present a valid government-issued photo ID and the credit card used to make the reservation upon check-in.
Minimum Age Requirement
The primary guest making the reservation and checking in must be at least 25 years of age and must remain on the property for the duration of the stay.
Minimum Stay Requirement
A two night minimum stay is required during all weekends throughout the year. A three night minimum may be required during summer holiday weekends.
No Smoking
The Drift is a completely smoke-free property.
Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside guest rooms, on guest balconies and decks, and in all indoor common areas.
A minimum cleaning and restoration fee of $500 will be charged for violations.
No Pets
To preserve a comfortable environment for all guests, pets are not permitted at The Drift.
Service animals, as defined by applicable law, are welcome. Please contact The Drift directly if you are traveling with a service animal. Emotional support, comfort, and therapy animals are not permitted. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by a service animal beyond normal wear and tear.
Occupancy
To preserve the intimate atmosphere of The Drift, guest rooms are reserved exclusively for registered overnight guests. Maximum occupancy is limited to two guests per room.
Respect for Our Neighbors
The Drift is designed as a peaceful coastal retreat in a quiet residential neighborhood. We kindly ask guests to be considerate of fellow guests and our neighbors by observing quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM and keeping outdoor conversations, music, and other noise at a respectful volume throughout their stay.
Children
Children are welcome; however, all minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Pool
Registered guests are welcome to enjoy the pool during posted hours.
There is no lifeguard on duty. Guests use the pool at their own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Parking
Complimentary on-site parking is available for registered guests (limit one guest vehicle per room)
Damages
Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or guest room resulting from negligence or misuse beyond normal wear and tear. Repair or replacement costs, as well as any excessive cleaning required beyond standard housekeeping, may be charged to the credit card on file.
Accessibility Information
Because The Drift is an owner-occupied bed and breakfast with five guest rooms, it is exempt from ADA lodging requirements under applicable federal law. While we unfortunately do not provide ADA-accessible guest rooms, we are happy to answer questions regarding entrances, stairs, bathrooms, parking, and common areas so guests can determine whether the property is suitable for their needs.
